Corporate Video for Children NE

Based in the Newcastle, Children NE work hard to promote the rights of children and young people, countering the effects of inequality. Part funded via the Big Lottery, the charity developed a script for a Corporate Video which they required bringing to life. We loved the idea, helped them develop the visuals and hone the message.

Children NE knew how they wanted the video to look, so working in collaboration with drama groups, Kate and her marketing team, we sought to explore and communicate the feelings of young people affected by mental illness.

The Corporate Video forms the basis of a story focusing on the experience of one person day; it’s aimed, to demonstrate how peoples negative actions can have a dramatic effect on others. The use of Steadicam creates movement from the view of the mask and transports the audience on the journey of the individual, whilst Animation was used on the mask to accentuate the harm caused by hurtful language.

‘Behind the Mask’ was launched at the Star and Shadow cinema September 2014. It currently features on their website and is accessible for sharing by other organisations wishing to promote awareness of mental illness.

‘Fantastic service and support throughout the process, and a really impressive finished product. Really took the time to understand the ideas and vision, advised us on what would work well, and ensured the result was what we wanted. The excellent and talented team that I hope to work with again in the future. Highly recommended.’– Kate Larkin, Marketing
